WWW Wednesday - Weekly Blog Tag

It’s Wednesday, and that means it is time for WWW Wednesday! WWW Wednesdays is a weekly tag that is currently being hosted by Taking on a World of Words! Wondering how WWW Wednesday works? Just answer the three Ws!

Those three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

The Harp of KingsI’m currently reading The Harp of Kings by Juliet Marillier. I really love the author’s style so when I was approved for this book I was ecstatic (and my sister was thoroughly jealous).  So far I am loving it. I’m only about 10% into the book but Juliet Marillier’s writing style is just breathtakingly beautiful. I’m already loving the characters, and I can’t wait to dive back into the story.

The Garden of Small BeginningsI am also listening to The Garden of Small Beginnings by Abbi Waxman. I received this book in a “read now” email and when I clicked to learn more it was added to my library. I have tried to read it but it never grabbed me. Seeing as I just finished Abbi Waxman’s The Bookish Life of Nina Hill I figured I should give this one another shot. It also helps that NetGalley has their Reviewathon going on so it was time to get this one out of the TBR pile.  I did end up switching to the audiobook and so far, I’m enjoying it.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Mythic DreamI just finished reading The Mythic Dream! It’s an anthology by John Chu, Leah Cypess, Indrapramit Das, Amal El-Mohtar, Jeffrey Ford, Sarah Gailey, Carlos Hernandez, Kat Howard, Stephen Graham Jones, T. Kingfisher, Ann Leckie, Carmen Maria Machado, Arkady Martine, Seanan McGuire, Naomi Novik, Rebecca Roanhorse, Alyssa Wong, & J.Y. Yang! I really enjoyed the mixture of myths, and I loved that there was some lore that I have never heard before! I cannot wait to share my review with you all!

What do you think you’ll read next?

American RoyalsI’m hoping that I’ll be able to get all of my books read by 9/3/2019 so my next two books will be either American Royals by Katharine McGee, or The Nobody People by Bob Proehl. I’m really excited to jump into these stories! They both look amazing and completely different. I’m not sure which one is going to win out when it comes to reading next but I’m thoroughly excited to read them!

  1. Great list. I love the sound of The Mythic Dream, I’ll keep my eye out for this one.
