WWW Wednesday - Weekly Blog Tag

It’s Wednesday, and that means it is time for WWW Wednesday! WWW Wednesdays is a weekly tag that is currently being hosted by Taking on a World of Words! Wondering how WWW Wednesday works? Just answer the three Ws!

Those three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading the brilliant Samantha Young writing under S. Young. War of Hearts is the first paranormal romance I have read of hers, and so far it is engaging and just fun! I love Samantha Young’s writing style, and her books always grab me from the start. I’m so excited that I got the ARC of this book and I cannot wait to finish it!

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished listening to Foreverywhere by Steve Burns, Steven Drozd, and Gabe Soria. I felt like I was back in grade school, listening to Blues Clues. It was brought back so many nostalgic memories. Unfortunately, the sound effects were a little too much for me to fully enjoy the audiobook.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I will probably pick up one of the two ARCs I have to read. The first is The Orchid Throne by Jeffe Kennedy (which was published yesterday), and the other is Whispers of Shadow & Flame by L. Penelope. Both look really great, but The Orchid Throne will probably win out when I finish War of Hearts!

Wondering where I get most of my books from? Take a look at my handy-dandy list!

  1. How long does it take for an ARC to show up on audible? Do they show up the same time the book shows up on Amazon? I have an ARC of a book, but my stop on the book tour isn’t until after the book is released and it would help me out alot if I could actually use the audible. But I dont ever do that and you seem much more knowledgeable in audibles than I am? And I dont see an audible for it yet?

    1. I have never actually gotten an ARC for audible. Usually if I switch to audiobooks it is on the published dates and I never made it through the book. I don’t know if Audible does ARCs. LovelyAudiobooks might know but I usually just spend the credit on the book. 😊

      1. Wait let me clarify. My spot on the book tour is after the book is published. So I was hoping there will be an audible for it. But right now only the book is showing on Amazon, it isn’t showing that there will be an audible for it on Oct 1st (date of released) and I didn’t know if that is normal or not?

      2. It could be that the book isn’t going to be published as an audiobook for a bit. Have you searched audible’s website for the book? If you want, met me know the title and I could try & find it for you. 😊

      3. Hmm. I’m not finding an audiobook for it. It might be because it’s a debut author so they’re seeing if there will be a demand for an audiobook before they make one. Audiobooks are expensive so sometimes a publishing house will not make an audiobook for certain novels until they know they’re going to sell well.

      4. Typically they have preorders for audiobooks. But who knows, I would check on release day as a just in case (though my guess is that it just isn’t going to be an audiobook until there is a demand).

    1. I am obsessed with getting the audiobooks from my library but I’m so impatient sometimes so if it is a big named author/popular book I typically just buy the book instead.

  2. I am a huge fan of paranormal romance’s, I plan to check out War of Hearts. I hope it makes it onto audiobook as I like that medium for this genre.
