December 2019 Wrap-up!

It’s technically not 2020, but there is no way I’m going to finish another book in 2019, so I’m going to write my wrap-up a day early! Honestly, I can’t believe that December is over. This month just flew by, and it exploded in fireworks due to the RWA implosion. Take a look at Claire’s thorough explanation of what all is going on!

As always, I am genuinely thankful for you all reading my posts. I have loved reading all of your comments, and I couldn’t be more grateful for being a part of this community that we have all cultivated!

As most readers know, our reading habits vary from month to month. I’m doing these monthly wrap-ups because the Ravenclaw in me LOVES all the statistics! So without further ado, here are my stats for December!

Books DNF’d: I shockingly didn’t DNF any books this month!

Favorite book of the Month: I really loved How We Fight White Supremacy by Akiba Solomon & Kenrya Rankin. This book made me uncomfortable and stretched me in ways that I never knew possible. This book should be required reading. I’m so glad I pushed through my comfort bubble and read this. It’s important to read books that stretch you and put things in perspective.

  1. I just added How We Fight White Supremacy to my Goodreads TBR, so thank you! I’m always looking for books that help me stretch and grow and be a better person, a better friend, and a better ally. I’m looking forward to reading this!

You had a great month. I love how you break everything down into statistics, with number of pages read per day, number of days per book, etc. I’m a huge nerd when it comes to knowing facts and statistics (don’t ask me to actually do math, though, because yikes), so I really enjoy seeing that! 🙂

    Happy New Year! 🙂

    1. I really enjoyed the book. It’s important to read the books that make you uncomfortable and help you stretch yourself. I hope you love the book as much as I did. It’s powerful.

I LOVE getting all the stats! This year I ended up creating my own spreadsheet to get even more data! I cannot wait to see how it turns out.
