What are you currently reading?
I finally picked up my Advanced Reader Copy of Kiss of Vengeance by S. Young! I’m about 15% into it, and I’m loving it! Samantha Young knows how to write engaging characters, so I can’t wait to dive into this book more!
I am also reading Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg. I’m about 50% into this book, and it really is fascinating. I’ve heard a lot about this book, so I’m excited to finally read it and make up my own mind!
What did you recently finish reading?
The last book I finished was Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World by Michael Pollan. I enjoyed it, but I have to admit, as a coffee lover, I felt personally attacked at moments. The book read like a textbook written by someone who grumpily gave up coffee.
What do you think you’ll read next?
My next book is probably going to be A Touch of Death by Rebecca Crunden. This book looks like it will be right up my alley, so I can’t wait to dive into it!

I really enjoyed it. In some mays the typical predictable contemporary, but I loved the story and characters.
Sometimes the characters can really make a predictable book amazing.
I just finished Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas, currently reading Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur, and next up is most likely The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. 🙌
How are you liking Milk & Honey?
I finished it already. It had some deep sentiments, but it was still simple. Most of the poems were super short, shorter than a haiku. I’m now reading House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig
I really wasn’t a huge fan of Milk & Honey when I read it. I think I rated it 2 stars.
Yeah, I didn’t love it very much. There’s a reason I like fiction novels over poetry.
I’m thinking that maybe if I read it back in my poetry phase I might have liked it more.
I always feel like I’m missing something when I read poetry. Like I need to dissect every word the way we did in high school.
I completely get that!
