WWW Wednesday - Weekly Blog Tag

It’s Wednesday, and that means it is time for WWW Wednesday! WWW Wednesdays is a weekly tag that is currently being hosted by Taking on a World of Words! Wondering how WWW Wednesday works? Just answer the three Ws!

Those three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

I just picked up my ARC of Sparrow by Mary Cecilia Jackson. You all might remember me having a bit of a crisis when I got approved for it because it’s a Macmillan book. I decided that I’m going to read it, post my review on Bookish First & then after the two months are up, I’ll have my review on my blog. I will say that so far, I’m enjoying it. The writing is very poetic, and I’m enjoying the book so now.

I am intentionally leaving off the buy link for this book due to it being a Macmillan book

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished an ARC through Libro.FM of Save Yourself by Cameron Esposito. This memoir was raw, hopeful, and infuriating. It’s a book I think everyone should read. It’s a beautiful memoir that shows what it is like to grow up gay & catholic. I loved this coming of age story, and I hope you all will too.

I also just DNF’d Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams. I had such high hopes for this book, but honestly, I feel like this book did more harm than good. I hated its portrayal of sexual assault/harassment, and I ended up hating the main characters more than I thought possible. Want to read my DNF review? Click Here!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not really sure what I’m going to read next. I have a few ARCs that I’m eyeing, but I think I might browse through my Audiobook collection and find something that looks good. I’m not sure what that will be, but I know that Sparrow is going to gut me, so I will probably choose a lighthearted read next.

Psst. This post contains Amazon Affiliate links & a Libro.Fm referral link.

Now that I have answered the three Ws, it’s your turn! Let me know your answers in the comments!

    1. I was extremely excited to read it but it obviously didn’t live up to my expectations. Some people have been able to look past the red flags but with my experiences (volunteer Victim’s Advocate, Sexual Assault Response Team Coordinator, and a volunteer at the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault) I couldn’t. I definitely say to go into it at your own risk. 🙂

  1. Currently reading Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas. Recently finished The Lost Legends by Cait Marie. Not sure what I’ll read next – probably an ARC. My goal this month is to get my NetGalley percentage up!

    1. I can’t wait to get my copy of The Lost Legends! I really wish I had the time to read it when Cait offered it up as an ARC but I knew this month was going to be way too busy to get to it.

Good luck getting your percentage up!! I’m sitting very happily with an 89% at the moment.

  2. Currently Reading:
    Sweet Temptation by Cora Reilly.
    Just finished reading:
Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare.
    What I’m reading next:
Depends on my mood, but I’d like to start House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas.

      1. I loved it! It was a five star read for me. I’m now reading Bound by Honor by the same author. It’s the previous generations books. So I kind of read them backwards, but they are standalones lol.
