Happy Fae Friday!! I hope that this week has treated you well! I’m honestly so happy that the weekend is almost here! This week was created by the brilliant Nery from postcardsfromlalaland.com! Please link to her blog! Faeries are known for their love of food, so we’re wondering:
What books have such fantastic food descriptions that you’re hungry after reading them?
When Nery created this prompt, I knew that I would struggle with it. I know precisely what series I would have put down a few months ago, but that author is entirely problematic, so I’m not going to give her any more publicity. Ultimately, I’m going to go with an honest answer, which is that I don’t have an answer. There are so many books out there with fantastic food descriptions, but I can’t think of any that stand out to me other than the cookbooks I own. Which, hey… that actually works! So my answer is going to be Sweet Revenge by Heather Kim. It had some hilarious relationship advice and some truly unique recipes.

So now that you know my answer, what books have such fantastic food descriptions that you’re hungry after reading them?

1. Thank you for the shout out! 😃
2. I love that such a cookbook exists. I feel like most of Like Water For Chocolate (the movie, anyway) involves the protagonist making passive-aggressive food to get back at her mother and sister.
It was such a fun and interesting book!
I know exactly what you’re talking about! I was thinking the same thing. But this book sounds like a good read, I’ll have to check it out.
It was a lot of fun to read & the cookies I made were really interesting!
