Why hello there all you wonderful people! Today is the first meeting of the book club my sisters wanted to create. We’re going to be discussing Circe by Madeline Miller, and I can’t wait to talk about this book with some of my favorite people. That is why I made today’s prompt:

Have you joined a book club? Did you enjoy it?

So, not only have I joined a book club, but I’ve actually ran an in-person one for a bit. We, unfortunately, ended the book club after we became a bit too busy and members started to move away. But, it was always great to get together end talk about the book we read. We read across all genres, and we valued each other’s opinions. I definitely didn’t like every book I read, but we were respectful when we disagreed.

I’ve also tried to start 2 online book clubs but things never really progressed. With COVID, we just weren’t able to give our full attention, and for a book club, you have to provide it with attention to truly flourish.

All in all, I really love having a book club. It’s a fun time to spend with fabulous people. I’m definitely looking forward to this new adventure with my sisters! So, have you joined a book club? Did you enjoy it?

So now that you know my answer, prompt

  1. I always loved the idea of joining a book club, but I honestly never realized how much work went into running one. I think the next one that I join will be run by someone else. I don’t think I’m ready to run one lol. I hope you enjoy the book club with your sisters, and love Circe!

    1. It takes a lot of work to do a book club. It was so much work and honestly at times it wasn’t worth it. It’s fun though to talk books and see differing perspectives.
