What are you currently reading?

I finally started Sorcerer To the Crown by Zen Cho. I really love the world-building in this book but honestly, it’s a slow read. The first 20% of the book seems to focus on the politics of the world. I’m about 40% into the book now and it’s picked up the pace but I can’t help but dream about other books. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad, it’s just a bit too slow for me.

I’m also reading Brian Froud’s World of Faerie (and no, I have no idea why it costs that much on Amazon). I’m loving it. I’ve loved Brian Froud’s artwork and even though it’s extremely awkward to read, it’s wonderful. I love that it is filled with faery wisdom and it’s so breathtakingly beautiful when it comes to the art. I highly suggest buying it if you’re a fan of his art. I probably wouldn’t buy it for the $100+ it’s going for on Amazon though.

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading Be More Cat by Alison Davies last week. It was an interesting read but nothing to write home about. The self-help aspect of it was interesting but I wasn’t really impressed.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m not sure but Gina L. Maxwell’s newest short stories is definitely calling my name. As you all know, I love Gina’s writing so when I learned that she released a New Year’s Eve story I instantly downloaded it (yay for Kindle Unlimited). Masked Desires looks like it will be exactly what I need. Also, just look at this cover! It’s so beautiful!
