Review | Devolution by Max Brooks

When I saw that Max Brooks had a new book out, I had to jump out and request it from NetGalley! World War Z is one of the top books I have read and one that I always recommend, so I couldn't wait to get started on Devolution! Unfortunately, life happened, and I couldn't seem to focus enough to pick this book up. Luckily, Libro.FM came swooping in with this audiobook as an option for their influencer program.

Hiatus Update

TW: Death of a relative Hi everyone, I just wanted to update you on why I've been quiet for the past few weeks. On June 17th, my Aunt passed away. My Aunt Diane was a wonderful woman who time and time again showed up. She was the one you could count on to take on... Continue Reading →

#FaeFriday | 6.12.2020

It's Friday, which means it's time for another #FaeFriday! As all of you know, I'm obsessed with faeries but did you know that I also have a particular fondness for shapeshifters? No? Yes? Maybe? Well, imagine my delight when I realized that faeries have been known to shapeshift into animals? Sooo... that means that the prompt this week is:

May 2020 | Wrap-Up

Hey Everyone! May is over, which means that it is time to give you a bit of an update on my reading progress! These past few months have been hard on me and incredibly hard on the world. Cal is doing well. He's as hyper as ever and is acting like he didn't have major surgery last month. As you all know, I've been pretty quiet here. It's Friday, which means it's time for another #FaeFriday! I'm not going to lie, but I totally thought it was Thursday. Luckily, I saw Leah's post and realized my error! The prompt this week is also one of my favorites! I'm always on the lookout for scorching reads, so I definitely created this prompt for selfish reasons. This week we're talking about Fire Faeries! Be cautious of these faes, or you might end up with a blister! So without further ado, the prompt is....

It's Friday, which means it's time for another #FaeFriday! The prompt this week was created by Ashley over at Red Haired Ash Reads! Faeries have been known to stand back and observe. So, the prompt this week is: What secondary character is your favorite or even outshined the main character?

Review | Black Tangled Heart by Samantha Young

Black Tangled Heart lives up to its title. Each character is tangled up with pain to the point where I questioned if some of the characters were redeemable. In the first half of the book, we got to see Jane and Jamie grow up, and I loved watching their relationship flourish. Both characters were well written, and I enjoyed seeing them grow up. With that said, I have to say that I struggled to read some of the sexual scenes.

It's Friday, which means it is time for #FaeFriday! Faeries have been known to make a mortal dance until they die. So, the prompt this week is: What is a book that you forgot the world around you existed?
