What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading Lee Jacquot’s The Four Leaf. I saw it on BookTok and I haven’t been able to get my mind off of it. Right now, I’m not so sure about it. The writing seems a bit off for me and nothing has gripped my attention so I’m in that awful stage of “meh” when it comes to this novella. I’m 28% into the book so hopefully I can push through and finish it soon.

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished The Sunny Nihilist by Wendy Syfret. It’s was interesting but also not my cup of tea. I tend to like the idea that the world isn’t meaningless so Nihilism just doesn’t sit well with me. I could relate to some of the points but I think I’m going to stay away from philosophy books for a bit.

I also recently finished Her Villains by Jade Presley and I loved it. The book captivated me. The world was fascinating, the characters engaging, and the smut was great. Booktok did not disappoint me in this book recommendation. Also, look at how beautiful this cover is!!! I’m in love!

What do you think you’ll read next?

I’m just not sure what to read next. I have a few audiobooks calling my name but they’re all romance and since I’m reading an eBook romance, and audiobook romance just won’t happen until it’s finished. I might pick up a non fiction audiobook called Hurts So Good by Leigh Cowart. It sounds like a book I would have LOVED to have access to during college & writing one of my papers on masochism.
