This week's #FaeFriday is incredibly special to me. As many of you know, @Leahs_Books great nephew was born! He was born prematurely with a variety of health issues. He is the inspiration for this week! He's a wee fae warrior which is why this week's prompt is "what is your favorite warrior."
Clearing The Hoard – 4
It's April, and that means it's time to update you all on my Clearing The Hoard - Bookwyrm Challenge! I ended up reading The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, and I have to admit that I wasn't a fan. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as amazing as everyone has made it out to be. Maybe it's because I'm 30 or that I'm not a massive fan of the Christmas season, but this one was a dud to me. In the end, I gave it three caffeinated stars. It was just a meh to me. I decided that I was going to give away my copy, and my sister claimed my autographed copy! She will be the proud owner of The Polar Express, and I'll have a bit of free space to add another autographed book! Here are the books I've given away in March*:
Protecting Your Book Collection
Hey everyone! I figured with many of us stuck at home, I should give you all an idea for a new project. As many of you remember, last year in November, I ended up cataloging all of my physical books. Many of you thought I was crazy, others thought I was brilliant, and most of you were shocked by the numbers of books I own. I remember getting a lot of people wondering why I would do this, so I figured I would sit down and tell you all why. I currently work in insurance as a licensed customer service representative. It is my job to keep my clients informed and make sure they have the proper protection in place. When you buy homeowners, renters, & condo insurance, you're paying for the peace of mind that you'll be covered in case your house burns down or some other awful thing happens. One thing that we tell our clients is to make sure that they have an inventory of most of their possessions.

This week on #FaeFriday, we're talking about being playfully mischievous! Faeries are mischievous and playful creatures, and with April's Fools just around the corner, it's the perfect time to talk about this week's prompt! What mischievous character has a special place in your heart?
#FaeFriday | 3.20.2020
This week on #FaeFriday we're talking about Sparkles. Faeries are associated with being obsessed with sparkles. So this week's prompt is: What is a book cover that was so beautiful you couldn't stop staring at it? I have to admit, I judge books by their covers. I know I'm not supposed to, but seriously a good cover catches the eye, and that always makes me want to pick it up and read the blurb.

It's Friday the 13th, and we're talking about Leprechauns! Did you know that leprechauns are viewed as a type of faerie? I definitely didn't! With this St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, it's the perfect time to talk about a Leprechaun's treasure! So the prompt this week is: What is your hidden treasure of a book?

It's Friday!!! That means it's time to participate in #FaeFriday! This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about sweets! Faeries are known for their love of sweets and candy. So this week’s prompt is: What is a book that was so sweet you worried you might get a cavity? I honestly don't read many books that would fall into the "sweet" category. I tend to like drama and that perfect amount of angst. I knew I was throwing myself a curveball by putting this as a prompt but, luckily for me, I went through my bookshelves, and a book I read back in 2015 jumped out at me!
Clearing The Hoard – 3
It's March, and that means it's time to update you all on my Clearing The Hoard - Bookwyrm Challenge! I ended up reading Royal Elves by Misty D. Billman. I ran out of time, and I knew that there was no way I would be able to finish Persepolis while babysitting, so during nap time, I read Royal Elves. Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed. I didn't feel connected to the characters, found some spelling errors, and almost DNF'd it in the first 20 pages. I ended up giving it two caffeinated stars because I enjoyed the plot.
