It’s Friday!!! That means it’s time to participate in #FaeFriday!

This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about sweets! Faeries are known for their love of sweets and candy. So this week’s prompt is:

What is a book that was so sweet you worried you might get a cavity?

I honestly don’t read many books that would fall into the “sweet” category. I tend to like drama and that perfect amount of angst. I knew I was throwing myself a curveball by putting this as a prompt but, luckily for me, I went through my bookshelves, and a book I read back in 2015 jumped out at me! When Joss Met Matt by Ellie Cahill was one of those books that was incredibly sweet and cute. The plot is two characters who come together after each lousy relationship to have Sorbet Sex as a way to cleanse the pallet. This book was sweet, adorable & hilarious. I really need to reread it because I definitely failed at writing a review for it!

When Joss Met Matt

So now that you know my answer, what is a book that was so sweet that you thought you might get a cavity?

Last week’s participants!

Do you have a prompt idea for #FaeFriday? Leave a comment, email, or DM me on Twitter & you’re question might be featured on #FaeFriday!

  1. I don’t tend to read anything sweet. My brain automatically shies away from the covers…it’s like there’s an invisible field there, making me unsee them. 😉

  2. Most recent “sweet” book I read was literally set in a candyland — Beneath a Sugar Sky, by Seanan McGuire. But the tone has more of a bite, considering it’s Seanan McGuire. Though, it *is* pretty sweet, in a different sense, when Cora [badass spoiler moment redacted].

As for tone-sweet books, basically every Mal/Molly moment in the Lumberjanes comics gives me a sugar rush 😊
