#FaeFriday was created to help fill the hole in Kristy’s life after #FridayFavorites was discontinued. The idea behind this weekly blog prompt is that each Friday will have a bit of magic sparkled on it with a bookish prompt inspired by the Fair Folk! #FaeFriday is the creation of Kristy from Caffeinated Fae! This blog tag would not have been possible without the help & encouragement from Leah at www.leahsbooksandcooks.com! If you have a prompt idea, please contact me, and you’ll get credit if/when it’s used!
To participate in Fae Friday, please do the following:
- Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
- If the prompt idea is from another blog, link to that blog as well.
- Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
- Participate when you can & have fun with the prompt!
Now that you know what the rules are, here are the prompts!
January 24th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about changelings. Faeries were often accused of leaving changelings in place of a child. So this week’s prompt is: What is a book you picked up that wasn’t at all what you thought it would be?
January 31st:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about the Winter Court. The Winter Court is known to be dark, chilling, and sensible. They are the faerie representation of Winter, so this week’s prompt is: What book left you feeling the winter chill?
This prompt was co-created by @Leah_Books! Please link to her blog www.leahbooksandcooks.com!
February 7th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking pixie dust! If you’ve seen Peter Pan, you know that pixie dust is used to make you fly. So this week’s prompt is: What is a book that made your heart soar?
February 14th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about healing! Faeries are known for their healing abilities. It doesn’t matter if it’s a dying plant or a broken heart. The fair folk can help mend what is broken. So this week’s prompt is: What book helped you through a difficult time?
February 21st:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about iron! Iron is known to ward off faeries and, in some instances, limit the Fae’s powers. So this week’s prompt is: What is something that sucks the magic out of a book?
This prompt was created by the wonderful @Leah_Books! Please link to her blog www.leahbooksandcooks.com.
February 28th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about the wicked faes we have come to love! Faeries are known to have a bit of a wicked side. So this week’s prompt is: What is one wicked book that you not so secretly love?
This prompt was inspired by @Fae_girl63! Please link to author Lydia V. Russell’s webpage lydiavrussellauthor.com
March 6th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about sweets! Faeries are known for their love of sweets and candy. So this week’s prompt is: What is a book that was so sweet you worried you might get a cavity?
March 13th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about Leprechauns! Did you know that leprechauns are viewed as a type of faerie? With St. Patties Day right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to talk about a Leprechaun’s treasure! So this week’s prompt is: What is your hidden treasure of a book?
This prompt was created by the wonderful @Leah_Books! Please link to her blog www.leahbooksandcooks.com.
March 20th:
This week on #FaeFriday we’re talking about Sparkles. Faeries are associated continuously with being obsessed with sparkles. So this week’s prompt is: What is a book cover that was so beautiful you couldn’t stop staring at it?
March 27th:
This week on #FaeFriday, we’re talking about being playfully mischievous! Faeries are mischievous and playful creatures, and with April’s Fools just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to talk about this week’s prompt! What mischievous character has a special place in your heart?
This prompt was helped created by the fantastic @Theartsyreader1 for giving me the keyword “mischievous” Please link to her blog theartsyreader.com.
