To say, I’m excited for this book is an understatement. Gina L. Maxwell is one of my favorite authors so when I saw that she was going to be writing this book I knew it’s going to be perfect. It’s honestly like this book is written for me. I mean, it’s a new book by […]

Review | Sleeping With Shadows by Rachel Hailey

When Rachel approached me to read this advanced reader copy, I jumped at the chance! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I love paranormal books. I was extremely excited to jump in and see where this book took me. The one thing that I loved the most about this book was the world. TTT | Favorite Romances

It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday used to be hosted over on The Broke and the Bookish but moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl. As described on The Artsy Reader Girl’s blog, “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This description is right up my alley, and I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do!

The prompt this week was “Love Freebie,” so I figured that I would take this freebie opportunity to share some of my favorite romances that I have read. There is a little bit of everything on this list. I hope that you will find something that will spark interest.

Review | Belle Révolte by Linsey Miller

As many of you know, I LOVED Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller, so I was incredibly honored that Sourcebooks Fire sent me a physical copy of Belle Révolte! This book looked like everything I could want. I love fantasy & the blurb sounded terrific! Unfortunately, this book didn’t live up to the hype I built in my head. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but it wasn’t nearly as amazing as I hoped it would be.

Review | A Violet Fire

The plot was exciting and something a bit different with various borrowed elements as well. I could see a little bit of the many Young Adult dystopian novels in the book, so I was impressed that Kelsey Quick was able to write something refreshing.

Review | The Deep by Rivers Solomon

Yetu was a fascinating main character, and I couldn’t help but cry for her throughout the book. I loved the journey she takes, and I was on the edge of my seat while reading this book.

Review | Novice Dragoneer by E.E. Knight

This would be an excellent novel for people who enjoy a good biography. This book felt like I was reading a biography that happened to have dragons in it.
