It's Friday, which means it is time for #FaeFriday! Faeries have been known to make a mortal dance until they die. So, the prompt this week is: What is a book that you forgot the world around you existed?
Review | The Happy Ever After Playlist
The Happy Ever After Playlist is the first Abby Jimenez book that I have read. It can be read as a standalone, which made me happy seeing as Libro.fm gave me this one as part of their influencer program. Luckily for me, I didn't look at the narrators. Look, so many people LOVE Erin Mallon, but I don't. Her narrations of female characters tend to grate on my nerves. I tend to avoid any of the books she narrates, which makes me sad because she narrates some fantastic books. With all that said, I found that if I speed up her narrations, she isn't terrible. Zachary Weber, as always, was fantastic.
April 2020 | Wrap-Up
It is finally May, and that means it's time to update you all. April was one of the hardest months for me, personally. As many of you know, we had a few health scares with my aunts, and Calcifer needed emergency surgery for a blockage. Everyone seems to be doing well, and Cal is currently lying on a mat next to me as I type this. He is still in the critical ten days post-surgery, but with luck, hope, and good vibes, he should make a full recovery. With COVID-19 happening around the world, my anxiety has been pretty high. Usually, when my anxiety is through the rough, I rely on reading to get me through and escape for a bit. Unfortunately, my stress has been way too high, and I failed to focus on anything, let alone focus my attention on a book. I didn't get much reading or blogging done in April, but I'm hoping with the start of May, I'll be able to start reading again.

It's Friday and the first day of May! Today we're talking about Pests! Faeries have been known to be pests, so naturally, the prompt this week is: What is something that annoys you when you're reading? This prompt was inspired by Kimberly at Caffeinated PR! Happy Friday, everyone! I've been a little quiet on the blog lately, but I definitely couldn't miss #FaeFriday! This week we're talking about glamours! Faeries have been known to create glamours that make the ordinary see a different reality, so the prompt this week is: What is a book that was so realistic it made you question reality?

This week's #FaeFriday is incredibly special to me. As many of you know, @Leahs_Books great nephew was born! He was born prematurely with a variety of health issues. He is the inspiration for this week! He's a wee fae warrior which is why this week's prompt is "what is your favorite warrior."

Clearing The Hoard – 4
It's April, and that means it's time to update you all on my Clearing The Hoard - Bookwyrm Challenge! I ended up reading The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, and I have to admit that I wasn't a fan. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as amazing as everyone has made it out to be. Maybe it's because I'm 30 or that I'm not a massive fan of the Christmas season, but this one was a dud to me. In the end, I gave it three caffeinated stars. It was just a meh to me. I decided that I was going to give away my copy, and my sister claimed my autographed copy! She will be the proud owner of The Polar Express, and I'll have a bit of free space to add another autographed book! Here are the books I've given away in March*:
