I seriously cannot believe that it is July already! Where did half the year go? This month, I’ve been busy with family gatherings. I had a family reunion for my mom’s family mid-June and then a giant 90th birthday party for my Grandma on my dad’s side. To say that I’m officially peopled out would be putting it lightly. Needless to say, with all of the family gatherings, my reading definitely suffered. I’m used to reading about 10 books a month, and this month I read 7. It might not be a lot of books, but I’m happy that I was able to get that many books read. This month, I DNFd quite a few books, so the fact that I read 7 books was a miracle in itself. As you all know, I’m a firm believer in DNFing books when you’re not enjoying them. I obviously wasn’t the right reader for some of the books I tried to read this month.
If you’re reading this monthly wrap-up post, I want you to know that I appreciate you. I love this blog, and the fact that I have a few readers truly brings a smile to my face. I hope that you’ve found some fun books to read from my blog. If you have any thoughts, comments, or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
As most readers know, our reading habits vary from month to month. I’m doing these monthly wrap-ups because the Ravenclaw in me LOVES all the statistics! I’m currently using the reading log by Book Riot to find all of my stats so if this looks like fun, I highly recommend taking a look at their reading log!
So without further ado, here are my stats for June!

Favorite book of the Month: Definitely Super Fun Sexy Times by Meredith McClaren. This is an erotic graphic novel, and I LOVED it! The graphics were well done, and I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that it featured diverse characters, diverse sexuality, Kitten Play, BDSM scene negotiations, and so much sexy consent. My full review will be coming out when it is closer to the publication date!
Seems like you are having a good year so.
I definitely am!
I challenge you to read 8 books in July – double dog dare you! 😉
I definitely hope I can do it!
I love your graphic at the bottom of the post. Looks like you’re having a productive reading year.
Thanks! I use a word cloud app on my phone & I bought the background through The Hungry Jpeg!
7 books is still a huge accomplishment! I’m trying to get better at DNFing books I’m not enjoying. I hate feeling like I’ve wasted time, but I’m a lot less patient about sticking with books that just aren’t holding my attention now than I used to be.
I used to never DNF books but then I realized it was hindering my love for reading. 🙂
Super Fun Sexy Times sounds um interesting, I’m curious to learn more.
Have a great reading week
It was so good! My preliminary review is up on Goodreads!
Sounds like a great month.
It was!
Looks like you had a great month! Hope that continues for July!
It was a good month! I am hoping I can read more this month!
