WWW Wednesday – 9.18.2019

It’s Wednesday, and that means it is time for WWW Wednesday! WWW Wednesdays is a weekly tag that is currently being hosted by Taking on a World of Words! Wondering how WWW Wednesday works? Just answer the three Ws!

Those three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

NOTHING… Yes, I know, the book blogger is not reading anything. But, I just finished two books that were a metaphorical gut punch, so I am currently nursing a book hangover.

What did you recently finish reading?

I just finished listening to The Nobody People by Bob Proehl. This book was intense. I’m probably going to have a book hangover because of it. It took me two weeks to finish the book & I’m happy I can finally mark it as complete. The world-building was simply fantastic, and I am still in awe of the depth of his characters.

I also just finished  All of Which I Saw by Lucian Read. This photography book was incredible but not for the faint of heart. It is horrifying and one of the hardest books I have read this year. This book will probably haunt me for the rest of my life.

What do you think you’ll read next?

The last two books that I have read have been incredibly taxing so I think I’m going to need to read some romance. I’ve been craving a good romance, so I’m probably going to go with the ARC of Samantha Young’s War of Hearts or I might just break down and read some of the fantastic romance books on my TBR. The top of the list is Katee Robert’s Desperate Measures. This book has been catching my eye for quite some time, so I might put everything aside and read that instead. All I know is that I need to read something that I can escape into so I’m just going to play it by ear and see where my mood takes me.
