It’s #FaeFriday and I bet you already knew what this week’s prompt would be. What book didn’t live up to the hype?
What book didn’t live up to the hype?

This might get me in hot water with Twitter but Fahrenheit 451 was the worst. I’ve had to read it for classes at least 4 times and each time I was unimpressed. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the idea of the book but it was so incredibly boring. I even read it for the 5th and (hopefully) final time to give it a chance and it’s still the same boring book.
Also, a special mention to The Girl on the Train. Seriously, I gave away my signed copy after I finished the audiobook because it was just so meh.
So now that you know my answer, what book didn’t live up to the hype?

I was underwhelmed by The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.
That was definitely a hyped book. I’m sorry it didn’t live up to the hype!
I think most people enjoyed it. Just not my thing.
Hard same – that was my #1 pick for this week!
I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Judging by the response I got on my review, we aren’t the only ones by a long shot!
“Hot water”? Pun intended? 😂
Hahaha! Nope, just a happy accident. LOL
I know I must have read Fahrenheit 451 in school, but I have absolutely no recollection of it! However, I have to agree with you on The Girl on the Train.
With having to read it so many times I can definitely say that it’s not worth reading again. But the concept was great.
