#FaeFriday | 2.21.2020

It's Friday!!! That means it's time to participate in #FaeFriday! This week we're talking about iron! Iron is known to ward off faeries and, in some instances, limit the Fae's powers. So The prompt this week is: What is something that sucks the magic out of a book? The wonderful @Leah_Books created this prompt! Please link to her blog http://www.leahbooksandcooks.com. There are a few things that suck the magic out of books for me. The main one is the lack of character development.

Tag | Rapid Fire Book Tag

Purple Manatees tagged me in this book tag last week, and I definitely couldn't resist. GirlReading created this tag, and I can't wait to answer some of these questions!  Ebook or Physical Book? eBooks, I don't read many physical books nowadays because I love the convenience of eReaders. I'm particular about my books, so I love the fact... Continue Reading →

TTT | Book Hangover Books

The prompt this week is from Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse "The Last Ten Books That Gave Me a Book Hangover." I like most (if not all) book lovers have experienced a book hangover. I honestly don't experience the book hangover too much, so I'm making a list of the books I can remember giving me a book hangover. For me, a book hangover happens in one of two ways. The first way is when I loved a book so much I can't possibly think of reading another book. The second way is when a book affects me so profoundly, I have a bit of numbness afterward. Sometimes, it's a little bit of both. The list I came up with is filled with both types of books.

Review | Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

This book was action-packed. I typically don't read audiobooks if they're longer than 9 hours, so the 14 hours & 45 minutes of this book felt incredibly daunting. I hesitantly pressed play but I have to say, this book flew by. I was utterly engrossed.

#FaeFriday | 2.14.2020

It's #FaeFriday, and that means it's time to let your inner fae come out and play! Instead of doing a Valentine's Day theme, I decided that for this week, we'd talk about healing. Whether you need a dying plant or a broken heart mended, the fair folk can help. Just like fae, books can be incredibly healing, so the prompt this week is: What book helped you through a difficult time?

I always love blog tags, so I was so excited when I saw this one over on Stephen Writes. I really couldn't resist participating in this one. I'm such a bookaholic, so these answers were a lot of fun to come up with!

TTT | Favorite Romances

It's Tuesday, and that means it's Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday used to be hosted over on The Broke and the Bookish but moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl. As described on The Artsy Reader Girl's blog, "It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together." This description is right up my alley, and I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do! The prompt this week was "Love Freebie," so I figured that I would take this freebie opportunity to share some of my favorite romances that I have read. There is a little bit of everything on this list. I hope that you will find something that will spark interest.

Review | The Bear by Andrew Krivak

It's been a few days since I finished this book, and I still don't know quite how I feel about it. I picked this up as part of Libro.FM's influencer program, and I was immediately drawn to the cover. Seriously, look at how pretty the cover is. I also enjoy post-apocalyptic reads. I figured I would give this book a chance. I think it's important to state that this book was not character-driven. You never even know the character's name. You only know them as The Girl, The Man, and The Bear. I am such a character-driven reader that this honestly threw me off.
