Review | The Roommate

When I saw this book on NetGalley, I knew I needed to read it. Unfortunately, life got in the way, which means I ended up buying the audiobook instead. I tend to buy the audiobook anytime I'm late in the review game. I'm delighted that I bought the audiobook because the narrators were great! Brittany Pressley & Teddy Hamilton brought the book to life. At times, I did wish that the female voices were just a bit different, but other than that, they did a fantastic job. With COVID-19 and a lot of personal issues, I've been filling my life with romance, and this book was exactly what I needed. The Roommate is one of those books that will make you smile. It was well written, humorous, and incredibly spicy. Don't let the cutesy cover fool you. This book packs a lot of steam, and I was here for it.

Review | The Truest Thing

Samantha Young has been a staple author for me. I've been reading her books since 2012 when I found her book, On Dublin Street. I've been an avid reader since. The Truest Thing is the 4th book in her Hart's Boardwalk series and features a character that I just couldn't like.

Review | Take a Hint, Dani Brown

As many of you know, Talia Hibbert quickly became one of my favorite romance authors last year. So, I was extremely excited to get the ARC of Take a Hint, Dani Brown. Unfortunately, due to a death in the family, this book went to the back burner. I finally found the energy to read, but my focus was all over the place. Instead of reading the ARC, I bought the audiobook from Libro.fm and dived in.

Review | Black Tangled Heart by Samantha Young

Black Tangled Heart lives up to its title. Each character is tangled up with pain to the point where I questioned if some of the characters were redeemable. In the first half of the book, we got to see Jane and Jamie grow up, and I loved watching their relationship flourish. Both characters were well written, and I enjoyed seeing them grow up. With that said, I have to say that I struggled to read some of the sexual scenes.

Review | Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

I read this book a few months ago, thanks to Libro.fm's influencer program. I saw quite a few of my favorite blogs reviewing/talking about this book, so I knew I had to read it. I've waited a while to write this book review simply because I loved it so much. Get A Life, Chloe Brown is one of those books that will stay with you for a while after. I struggled to write this book review because nothing will do justice to how much I loved this book. I seriously want to shove it into everyone's hands and tell them to read it.

TTT | Favorite Romances

It's Tuesday, and that means it's Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday used to be hosted over on The Broke and the Bookish but moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl. As described on The Artsy Reader Girl's blog, "It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together." This description is right up my alley, and I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do! The prompt this week was "Love Freebie," so I figured that I would take this freebie opportunity to share some of my favorite romances that I have read. There is a little bit of everything on this list. I hope that you will find something that will spark interest.

#FaeFriday | 2.7.2020

It's Friday and Faebruary, which means it is time to let our inner fae shine and participate in #FaeFriday. The prompt this week is pixie dust! If you've seen Peter Pan, you know that pixie dust is used to make you fly. So this week's question is: What is a book that made your heart soar?

Review | Fluffy by Julia Kent

Back in April, it seemed that this book was everywhere. A lot of the bloggers I followed posted review after review of this book, so it wore me down, and I had to buy it. Unfortunately, with how busy my review schedule was, this book sat on my kindle for months. On a whim, I checked the audible escape package and was so excited to find Fluffy on it! I downloaded it right away and eagerly started the audiobook.
