Goodreads Summary:

The first rule of book club:
You don’t talk about book club.
Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott’s marriage is in major league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.
Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.
Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville’s top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it’ll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner hero and win back the trust of his wife.
My Thoughts:
When I saw the early reviews come out about The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams, I knew then and there that I needed to read it. This book is right up my alley, and I couldn’t wait to jump into it. I had such high hopes for this book, and I’m happy to say that it lived up to the hype I built for it. This is my first novel by Lyssa Kay Adams, and it definitely will not be my last.

The Bromance Book Club was filled with the perfect amount of angst. I’m always nervous when picking up books because they are sometimes too angsty. For me, you have to have a mixture of angst and happiness. I want to feel hopeful, and gutted, and then hopeful again. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to yell at the characters, and I wanted to hug them all.

The characters really were the shining stars of this book. I loved Thea & Gavin’s story. It was fascinating to watch them struggle with both their failures. I also loved that they each were imperfect in a realistic way. I could see these two existing in the world, and I was invested in their story.

The plot was something that I appreciated. It was a little over the top at moments, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved that romance novels played an integral role in this book. I think the world would be a better place if more people read romance novels. There is just something beautiful about knowing that there is a happily ever after.

All in all, The Bromance Book Club was an incredibly charming and angst-filled book. The characters were lovable and completely imperfect. I cried, I laughed, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. If you enjoy angsty romance, I highly recommend this book!

Thanks! I’m glitter obsessed so when designing the graphics I figured that was the best way to do it. LOL
