Wow, it has been a while since I wrote one of these wrap-up posts. First off, sorry about that, but with the world going to crap & my aunt dying, I didn’t have the energy to do much reading nor blogging. I’m finally getting to a better state of mind, so I figured it was time to write my wrap-up.Read More
Hey Everyone! May is over, which means that it is time to give you a bit of an update on my reading progress! These past few months have been hard on me and incredibly hard on the world. Cal is doing well. He’s as hyper as ever and is acting like he didn’t have major surgery last month.
As you all know, I’ve been pretty quiet here. I truly appreciate you all staying here and reading my posts. I’m hoping that June will reinvigorate me, and I will start to be more active on my blog.Read More
It is finally May, and that means it’s time to update you all. April was one of the hardest months for me, personally. As many of you know, we had a few health scares with my aunts, and Calcifer needed emergency surgery for a blockage. Everyone seems to be doing well, and Cal is currently lying on a mat next to me as I type this. He is still in the critical ten days post-surgery, but with luck, hope, and good vibes, he should make a full recovery.
With COVID-19 happening around the world, my anxiety has been pretty high. Usually, when my anxiety is through the rough, I rely on reading to get me through and escape for a bit. Unfortunately, my stress has been way too high, and I failed to focus on anything, let alone focus my attention on a book. I didn’t get much reading or blogging done in April, but I’m hoping with the start of May, I’ll be able to start reading again.Read More
March is finally over, and most of us are stuck in the house. While you’re stuck in the house, I recommend taking a look at my post, Protecting Your Book Collection, to get yet another project you and your family can do! As many of you know, I took a bit of a hiatus this month. With COVID-19 happening, I just haven’t had the energy to focus on my blog. I ended up buying a Nintendo Switch and have dived into the world of video games as a way to escape the constant barrage of news. I’m thankful I did because I needed a way to turn off my overly anxious brain & reading wasn’t cutting it.
With all that said, I hope you all are healthy and finding ways to occupy yourself. I appreciate you all coming and reading this post and my blog in general. You rock, and you deserve all the good things!Read More
Can you believe that February is over? Seriously, it felt like January was a year-long, and #Faebruary was like a day. As you may already know, in January, I started #FaeFriday, and I’m so glad to see that there are participants! It’s so much fun to see how everyone interprets the prompts & I love all of the different answers!
We also closed out the month with the Whole Latte Books – Book Club, where we discussed Get a Life, Chloe Brown, which is one of my all-time favorite romances! I have to say, it was so fun to talk to everyone about Get a Life, Chloe Brown!Read More
Congratulations everyone, we survived January 2020! This month was filled with some fantastic and not so fantastic reads. It always seems like the beginning of the year is hit or miss when it comes to reading books. I had quite a few books I was looking forward to that ended up being nothing like I expected. I DNF’d a few books, and I ended up fall in love with some other ones. Ultimately, I’m calling January a successful month even if I DNF’d a few books.Read More
