It’s Friday, which means it’s time for another #FaeFriday! I’m not going to lie, but I totally thought it was Thursday. Luckily, I saw Leah’s post and realized my error! The prompt this week is also one of my favorites! I’m always on the lookout for scorching reads, so I definitely created this prompt for selfish reasons. This week we’re talking about Fire Faeries! Be cautious of these faes, or you might end up with a blister! So without further ado, the prompt is:
What is a book that was so hot that you thought your book would burst into flames?
The Dare by Harley LaRoux – Harley is my go-to erotica author. She knows how to write Kink & she knows how to write it authentically. I’ve read quite a few of her short stories, but I love The Dare most. This novella knew how to push all my buttons & I loved that I was able to stay in the story a bit more due to the novella length.
Desperate Measures by Katee Robert – Katee quickly became a favorite last year. Desperate Measures combines some of my favorite kinks and put them on the page in a safe, sane, and consensual way. Desperate Measures was one of my favorite books I read last year. I can’t wait to find the time to read the rest of the series.
Pan by Gina L. Maxwell – Gina just has a way to turn any book into an “I need a cold shower” experience. I have practically thrown this book (and series) at everyone that I can. This book has some scorching sex scenes, heart-melting romance, and some fantastic snark.
Table for Three by Lainey Reese – I never really got all hot and bothered by threesomes and polyamory until this book. The sex scenes were good, the D/s relationship was exciting, and I definitely fell in love with all the characters.

If you’re into fae-rotica, I highly recommend Fairy Tale Lust, ed. Kristina Wright. It’s a collection of sexually twisted fairy tales, from a kinky Little Mermaid to a steamy Snow Queen (the latter was my favorite story). I posted a longer review here:

The sequel, Lustfully Ever After, was not as much fun, partly because the BDSM was too dub-con for my taste.
