February is Black History Month in the United States, which is why this week’s prompt is: What are some of your favorite books written by Black authors? I’m pretty sure all of you knew this series was going to be on this list. The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert is hands down one […]
It’s Friday and that means it’s time to answer the #FaeFriday prompt! This week’s prompt is: What book lived up to the hype? Typically a book never lives up to the hype that I build in my head. When I read a review that raves about a book, I build it up so much that […]
It’s Friday!!! That means it’s time for another #FaeFriday prompt! Did you know that in certain lore, a fairy is born from the first laugh of a child? That is why this curious wannabe fae wants to know: What is a book that made you genuinely laugh.
We all love social media, so this prompt was a lot of fun to think about. I have to say it was a tough one for me to answer. I typically follow bookish accounts, so that would mean I would automatically follow and love every single bookish person. I use social media so that I can find new books, talk bookish things, and share my love of all things book related. Though I’m a book nerd and would list every single book lover I have read about, I decided to go with a list of characters that would be more of the outliers on my feed.
I read this book a few months ago, thanks to Libro.fm’s influencer program. I saw quite a few of my favorite blogs reviewing/talking about this book, so I knew I had to read it. I’ve waited a while to write this book review simply because I loved it so much. Get A Life, Chloe Brown is one of those books that will stay with you for a while after. I struggled to write this book review because nothing will do justice to how much I loved this book. I seriously want to shove it into everyone’s hands and tell them to read it.
The prompt this week is from Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse “The Last Ten Books That Gave Me a Book Hangover.” I like most (if not all) book lovers have experienced a book hangover. I honestly don’t experience the book hangover too much, so I’m making a list of the books I can remember giving me a book hangover.
For me, a book hangover happens in one of two ways. The first way is when I loved a book so much I can’t possibly think of reading another book. The second way is when a book affects me so profoundly, I have a bit of numbness afterward. Sometimes, it’s a little bit of both. The list I came up with is filled with both types of books.
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday used to be hosted over on The Broke and the Bookish but moved over to That Artsy Reader Girl. As described on The Artsy Reader Girl’s blog, “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This description is right up my alley, and I hope you all enjoy this tag as much as I do!
The prompt this week was “Love Freebie,” so I figured that I would take this freebie opportunity to share some of my favorite romances that I have read. There is a little bit of everything on this list. I hope that you will find something that will spark interest.
Covers are some of the most important things. I know that I’m 10 times more likely to buy a book if the cover catches my attention. So here are some of my favorite covers from 2019!
